How long is the tour?
In about 90 minutes you’ll see all there is to see in the town of Madison.
Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts and ends on the northeast corner of the Town Square at the intersection of Hancock and E. Jefferson Streets. Look for our red kiosk
at 122 E. Jefferson St.Does the trolley have heat and air conditioning?
Yes. Our tours can be open air or climate-controlled depending on the weather.
What should I bring on the tour?
You will want to take pictures and may want a light sweatshirt or sweater depending on the weather. We provide a complimentary bottle of water, but you can feel free to bring your own drink and/or a snack.
How do I buy tickets?
Just click on “Buy Tickets” at the top right of this page.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards for tours, and checks or credit card payments for private tours and charters.
Are your trolleys ADA accessible?
Yes. Our trolleys are equipped with ADA lifts and seating.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes. Kids love our open-air trolley ride and audiovisual effects. We even get them involved with activities and as “Junior Conductors” who get to ring our trolley bells.
Is the tour suitable for seniors?
Yes. We make Madison’s sights accessible with an easy and comfortable ride, and our sound system is designed for everyone to be able to hear.
What if it rains?
We just close the windows. Hopefully you will get to enjoy Madison in open air comfort, but our tours operate rain or shine.
Can I book the trolley for private events?
Yes. We offer private tours, charters for any special event, and transportation services.
Are adult beverages allowed?
Yes, as long as they are consumed responsibly by persons 21 years of age or older. For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, Madison Trolley Company reserves the right to refuse service to, or remove from our trolleys, anyone who is clearly intoxicated or whose behavior is deemed to jeopardize the safety of our operations and/or the enjoyment of our patrons.
Are pets allowed on the trolley?
We love animals, but for the comfort and enjoyment of all our two-legged guests, only service animals that meet ADA requirements can be brought on board our trolleys.
What is your cancellation policy?
Tours
Cancellations at least 1-week from your tour time are eligible for a full refund. If you need to cancel within 1-week and at least 24-hours before your tour time, you will receive a credit you can use to reschedule to a future tour.
Charters
The cancellation policy for charters is outlined in the terms and conditions of a service agreement.
How safe are the trolleys?
Our trolleys are inspected twice daily and undergo regular maintenance. We have a rigorous safety program, and our drivers undergo Geogia Department of Transportation school bus driver training and certification. Each trolley is equipped with a fire extinguisher, medical response bag, AED device, oxygen unit, and roadway safety equipment.
